The Integrated Environmental Health Middle School Project (IEHMSP)
is a federally funded program that offers a variety of curricula

at the Legacy of Lead DESCRIPTION: For
the middle school Why History? CBA, students are asked to develop
a position on how the knowledge of history helps them understand a
current issue by analyzing related historical events. By exploring
multiple resources from the curriculum entitled, Environmental
Health Fact File: LEAD, students unravel the legacy of lead
use through history and develop an understanding of its impact on
human health today.

PDF: Bridging Document - Constitutional Issues
and Environmental Justice DESCRIPTION: For
the middle school Constitutional Issues (Civics) CBA, students are
asked to make an informed decision on a public issue after researching
and discussing different perspectives. Environmental Justice (EJ)
is a social movement that advocates for the fair treatment and meaningful
involvement of all people regarding the development and enforcement
of environmental laws, regulations, and policies. In this CBA, students
choose an environmental health issue that has an EJ component and
research the ways in which it connects to our democratic ideals and
constitutional principles.
